Klondike Summit & Historic City Tour
Your sightseeing tour begins in Skagway's historic downtown, with its picturesque wooden boardwalks and colorful, false fronted buildings. Your driver-guide will delight you with legends of the famous and foolhardy who lived in Skagway during the gold rush.
The adventure continues as your motorcoach ascends up 3,290 feet above sea level to the infamous White Pass Summit, which runs parallel to the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. Along the way, your driver-guide will share stories of hardships and daily life struggles that the stampeders faced while you tour past historic landmarks, including Brackett Wagon Road, Pitch Fork Falls, Dead Horse Gulch and the infamous Tormented Valley.
On your return trip back into Skagway, you will make a short visit to the Gold Rush Cemetery. This historic cemetery is the final resting place for many of Skagway's colorful characters. Your driver-guide will tell you the legend of Soapy Smith and his rival Frank Reid, as well as show you their grave sites. Afterwards, board the motorcoach for a transfer back to your ship.
